The work of Awa, carried forward and carried farther.
Tokushima, the old province of Awa, is a treasury of food. We take the work and the spirit of its makers beyond the prefecture, across the sea, and on to the next generation.

阿波の食人
Awa no Shokunin: the food artisans of Awa
In the fields, at sea, in the workshop: Tokushima is home to people who spare no effort. We visit them one by one and share what we find. If a story stays with you, you can order what they make.

A farmer in Kamikatsu champions yuko, a native citrus that thrives without pesticides, while replanting a family cedar forest with broadleaf trees.

From physical therapy to yuzu: Kaori Yoshioka of Yuzu You
A physical therapist grows organic yuzu in the mountains of Tsurugi, including seed-grown trees that take 18 years to bear fruit.

Two months on the river: Makoto Doi and suji aonori
Suji aonori grows from wild spores at the mouth of the Yoshino River. We joined a first-generation seaweed fisher during the short harvest.
We have taken over a business ourselves.
Our representative has been through business succession first-hand. When owners cannot find a successor or do not know whom to ask, we listen as people who have stood in a similar place.
We would be glad to hear from you.
Sourcing from Tokushima, matcha, business succession, staff training: any topic is welcome.
